Park on a sunny day

Like I had said earlier, if you are travelling with kids, there are two places you should surely go to. A library and a park. In Japan, we couldn’t really go to a library as all books are in Japanese. But park, oh yes.

We are in Kyoto for 10 days so I have the privilage to spend a day at the park. We choose Umekoji park. From the minute we entered the park, I was in love with it. Why? A huge, really huge play area, an aquarium, big park, a train museum (reopening on April 29 2016) and a cafe right next to the play area. Kids are happy. What else do you need??

This is a fantastic break from sight-seeing and the crowds (though the play area was crowded, it was nicer).

Apart from keeping kids happy and entertained, a park and a library tells you a lot about the people. It shows their sensitivity to the growing generation.
